About	Scott Lynn Palmer, age 46, of Claremore, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, December 30th, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born in Springfield, Mo. on May 24, 1964. He was an Eagle Scout and received several awards for heroism related to the life-saving efforts of a 3-year old girl in 1980. Scott also received various science awards, most notably the NASA award for scientific achievements. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1982 and attended Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo. and later received his Mechanical Engineering Degree in 1992. Scott was a published Aerospace Structural Design Engineer for several major companies during his career and was most recently employed by Spirit AeroSystems of Tulsa, Okla. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Gerry K. and Elaine Palmer of Springfield, Mo. and his mother and step-father, Joyce V. (Highfill) and Larry M. Hoover of Gravette, Ark.; son, Zachary Gage; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra K. and Kurt Wayne of Bella Vista, Ark., and Shelley R. and Darren Reeder of Center, TX.; four step-sisters, Rhonda Holt of Rison, Ark., Amy Russell of Kemah, TX, Stephanie Zuccarello of Springfield, Mo., and Sharmin Shockley of Medina, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Victoria and Joshua Wayne, Annie and Ashton Reeder; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 8th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with a graveside service immediately following in Woodard Cemetery, Elkland, Mo.
