About	John Wesley Griffin, Jr. was born July 15, 1944, in Springfield, Mo., and went to be with our Holy Father on Jan. 15, 1998, after a long battle with cancer. John moved his family to Kennewick in 1978. He worked for Tri-City Glass, Sandvik Special Metals, and Flour Daniel-Hanford as an asbestos insulator for almost 18 years. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, papa, uncle and friend. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him, but his work on earth is done. He was preceded in death by his father, John Wesley Griffin, Sr.; his mother, Margaret Edith (Pierce) Griffin, and a son, Roy Thomas Griffin. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Griffin; a son, John Wesley Griffin, Ill; a daughter, Angelian Elizabeth Griffin; a beloved granddaughter, Rachelle Jean Griffin; a sister, Ann L. Johnston, and her husband, Donald L.; a nephew Rick L. Johnston, and his wife, Karen; a nephew, Randy W. Johnston; a great-nephew, Matthew James Johnston; a great-niece, Jennifer Lynn Johnston, all of Kennewick; a step-mother, Opal Griffin, Springfield; a brother, Jack R.
