Darlene Maloney, 59, Springfield, Mo., passed away in her home Wednesday, June 12, 2002 following a ten year courageous battle with cancer. The daughter of Kenneth and Cleo Clevenger, she was born August 2, 1942 in Greene County. Darlene was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Chuck to whom she was married June 4, 1966; two sons, Mark Allen and Jeffery Scott Maloney, both of Springfield; two daughters, Michele Hart and her husband, Brian, and Melissa Maloney, all of Springfield; a brother Kenneth Clevenger of Ozark, Mo.,; a sister, Patsy Ashford of Springfield; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2002 in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with Rev. John Hyde officiating, with burial in Holland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home, 441 W. Battlefield. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. [Spfd News Leader dated June 14, 2002; SSDI]
