About	James William Leftwich, Ph. D., 61, Springfield, died at Cox South hospital at 10:25 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2003. He was born on October 14, 1941 in Detroit, MI to Cloris and Joseph "Albert" Cash. He graduated from Springfield’s Hillcrest High School in 1960. He earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University at Missouri in 1974. He was preceded in death by his mother and his stepfather, Robert Leftwich. He is survived by his elder brother Thomas; his four children, Suzanne, Elizabeth, Michael, and Lisa; and six grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Girard City Cemetery in Girard, Kansas, where he will be laid to rest next to his mother. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Service at Midtown. [Spfd News Leader dated February 25, 2003; SSDI]
