About	Funeral services for Vernal E. Pippin, Jr. 30, of Route 1, Republic, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Chapel of the Ozarks with the Rev. Oscar Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. Mr. Pippin was fatally injured about 7:15 a.m. Monday when a truck he was driving was struck by a Frisco freight train at a crossing in Elwood.
