About	Services for Jerold William Fairman, 26, of 3038 North Pierce, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Jeffries officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The casket will be closed at all times. Mr. Fairman apparently shot himself in the head with a 12-guage shotgun about 10:45 p.m. Friday at his home. According to police reports, the deat was an apparent suicide. A lifelong resident of Springfield, he was employed as a Frisco Railway switchman, and a member of East Avenue Baptist Church and the UTU Railroad Union. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Ann; two daughters, Andrea and Shelly, both of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William T. Fairman, 1638 East Turner; a brother, Jim, of 1030 East Kerr; a sister, Mrs. Bonnie Hamp, 2744 North Pierce; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Miller, 428 West High.
