About	Martha Sue Lloyd, age 63 of Springfield, born July 8, 1946 to the late Raymond and Mary (Tharp) Meese passed away on May 27, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1964 and from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana with a music major. Sue played in the Springfield Youth Symphony and Baton Rough Symphony. She was employed as Coordinator for East Baton Rouge Parish Tumor Registry as a receptionist and also an Avon Representative. She was united in marriage to Thomas Frank Lloyd on December 28, 1977 Beaumont, TX who preceded her in death on July 8, 1997. Sue returned to Springfield in 1999 and was a dedicated member of Seminole Baptist Temple. Sue was an AWANA worker, taught the 3-5 yr old Cubbies Class, involved with Camp Barnabas Closet, missionary outreach and mailed cards for the Berean class. She said many times my church and my class are my family. Survivors include three sons, Brian Lloyd of Springfield, MO, Kevin Lloyd and wife Laurie of AZ, and Michael Lloyd and wife Ashley of Springfield; five grandchildren, Isaiah, Zachary, Crissy, Isaak, and Madilyn; niece and nephew Elizabeth and Brad Upton; and a host of friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Along with her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by her sister Mary Helen Meese Upton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:00 am at Seminole Baptist Temple, under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Burial will be at Forest Park Memorial Gardens in Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8 pm at Greenlawn South Funeral Home.
