About Paul G. "PG" Aulick, 62, Springfield, passed away March 23, 2010 in his home with family and friends by his side. He was born August 11, 1947 in Pensacola, Florida, the son of Gerald Gene and Etta Mae Hoy Aulick. Paul served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as an engineer at Cox North for over 23 years. Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren by sharing his life fishing, watching sports, and enjoying his grandchildren's athletic events. He loved being with his family and friends alongside a bonfire with a cold beer and some BBQ as well as cruising with his wife, Maurisa, on their Harley. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Gerald; a brother, Roy Gene Aulick; and his longtime best friend, Danny Franklin. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Maurisa Aulick; his mother, Etta Mae Aulick; a daughter, Marti Moreland; a son, Ben Aulick and wife, Michaeline; step-sons, Billy Ahlstrand and wife, Nicole; Patrick Ahlstrand and wife, Ashly; and Ryan Ahlstrand; seven grandchildren, Kourtney and Kaleb Moreland; Hunter, Ethan and Kennedy Ahlstrand; Brandon Simmons; and Cody McAdams; two sisters, Linnetta Neil and husband, Lendal; and Patricia Wallis and husband, Larry; many nieces and nephews; and his cat of 16 years, Patch. Paul has a very loving and kind soul which will be missed by his family and friends. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Church with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church to support maintenance expenses.
