Stanley Eugene Wilken, 19, of 1326 North Cedarbrook, died at 7:55 p.m. Monday at the Cox Medical Center after a lingering illness. A June 1969 graduate of Hillcrest High School, young Wilken was a member of the Assembly of God church. He was a lifelong resident of Springfield. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wilken, of the home; a brother, John, of Kansas City; a sister, Miss Patsy Wilken, of the home, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Case, of 1841 North Newton. Funeral services will be a 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ralph Thieme Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Bailey officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. [Spfd News Leader dated August 18, 1970; SSDI ]
