Richard W. Berg, 45, Springfield, Mo., died at 10:50 p.m. Friday, April 19, 1996, in his home. He was born March 2, 1951, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Lewis and Mary Clohisy Berg. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. He worked as a sheet metal worker for 23 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Berg, and an infant brother. He is survived by his wife, Janice, of the home; two sons, Rick Berg and his wife, Tracy, St. James, Mo., and Shane Berg, Springfield,; a granddaughter, Morgan Berg; a step-son and his wife, Keith and Cheri Mooney, Elkland, Mo.,; two step-daughters and their husbands, Reene and Jeff Roussell, and Suzan and David Collins, all of Ozark, Mo.; four step-grandchildren, Clarey Collins, Jeremy Roussell, Tucker Collins, and Kayla Roussell; his mother, Mary Clohisy Berg, Springfield; two sisters, Nancy Miller, Springfield, and Regina and her husband, Jim Nixon, Phoenix, Ariz; two brothers and their wives, Mike and Claudia Berg, Springfield, and Vince and Annette Berg, Milford, Conn.; a special aunt, Aline Berg; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be at 2 p.m. today, April 22, 1996, in Walnut Lawn Degraffenreid-Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Reidy officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
