About	Don Wesley Gardner, 56, Bois D�Arc, Mo., passed away at 6:57 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield after a long battle with cancer. Don was born on May 15, 1941, in Springfield, MO., to Wesley A. Gardner and Genevieve "Bea" Gardner. He and Carole Sue Mann were united in marriage on Jan. 18, 1963, in Springfield, MO., and were privileged to spend 35 years together. To this union a daughter and son were born. He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley A. Gardner. He is survived by his wife, Carole; a daughter and her husband, Rhonda and Dwayne Jackson, Strafford; a son and his wife, Randall and Kim Gardner, Batesville, Ark.; his mother, Genevieve "Bea" Gardner, Republic; a brother, Terry Gardner, Clever, Mo., and four grandchildren, Kelsie and Dustin Gardner, Batesville, Ark., and Ashlee and Austin Jackson, Strafford, Mo. Don enjoyed many hobbies: restoring classic cars and fishing on many area streams and rivers, but his first love was serving his Lord and Savior and singing southern gospel music with several groups including his family group, the Foundations, the Sounds of His Coming from Willow Springs, Mo., and most recently, the Calvarymen Quartet from Hartville, Mo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Johns Chapel Cemetery, Near Ash Grove.
