About	Ronnie was an avid swimmer and made several records for Hillcrest on the Swim Team. I can still remember hearing his name over the announcements in the mornings following a swim meet or tournament. I thought that since I was a freshman and he was a senior that it was no big deal since I heard several names over the intercom that I didn't know. How mistaken I was. Breaking records from the beggining of a schools history is an AWESOME task and he did it many times. I believe he was known for his butterfy strokes and great flips with distance. Ronnie also was a person that people and friends were always attracted too. He made friends so easy and they were seemingly always around him. Ronnie followed the family business and went into construction during and after school and eventually was doiing commercial construction...you know the ones were all the workers are wearing harnesses just incase they fall from the upper levels of the buildiing being constructed. The year before he passed he made just that fall and the harness failed...he landed and to everyone's amazement got up and said he was fine. LOL! This is the gene's the Smith's and Snodgrass's have...it takes a lot to stop them. Ronnie was meet on the other side with his younger brother Aaron Smith, his paternal grandparents Leon and Opan Smith, and his cousin Shane Smith. He was survived by his wife Becky and his son David, his parents Carol and Jerry Smith, his 2 sister's Zanita Ester and her 4 children Amber Timmerman (SKelley), Adam Arnold, Michael Easter, Kelsey Easter. Cherri Stockstill (Smith) and her 3 sons, Joshua Stockstilll, Zachariah Stockstill, and Malachi Stockstill, his brothers 2 children Erica and Garrett Smith.
