About	Robert L. "Bob" Dennen of Republic was born June 21, 1948, in Springfield, MO., and went home to his Lord October 14, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Frances Dennen. Bob leaves behind his devoted wife, Patricia; daughter, Lisa Dennen of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law Krista and Ryan Maul of Springfield; son, Robert Jason of Republic, and two grandsons, Zachary and Preston Dennen of Republic. Bob also leaves behind two sister, Kathryn Breihaupt of Buffalo and Virginia Mayes of Republic; a large extended family and longtime friend, Don Griffin of Springfield. Bob served his country in Vietnam where he received two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. After leaving the Army, Bob returned to Springfield where he worked as an Engineer for Frisco Rail Road until he became disabled by blindness. Bob shared a special love with his wife, Pat, and each of his children. If any of his family needed help, he was there with a strong shoulder to work, or to cry on. Bob met challenges of his life with bravery and a sense of humor. All of us who loved him are the better for having him in our lives. We can take comfort in knowing his suffering has ended, and even though legally blind himself, he final gift may help others see. He�d be happy to know that. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2006, in Meador�s Funeral Home, Republic. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. tonight in the funeral home.
