Michael Lee Rook, 52, Springfield, passed away in his home on Wednesday following an extended illness. He was born in Springfield and was a lifelong resident of the Springfield area. He was disabled and a graduate of Hillcrest High School in 1965. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wayne Rook, and brother Ronnie Rook. He is survived by three sons and spouses, Curt and Katie Rook, Republic, Mo., Brad and Kathy Rook, Nixa, and Michael (M.C.) Rook, Springfield; mother, Marjorie Rook and sister, Connie (Blake) and husband George Vance, all of Bolivar; brother Bobby Rook, Springfield; one grandchild, Garret Rook; the mother of his children, Peggy Rook, Springfield; two step-sons, Chris and Brigitte White, Strafford, and J. W. White, Liberal, Kan.; a step-daughter and husband, Patricia and Rick Irvine, Springfield; and two step-grandchildren, Bailey and Collin Irvine. Graveside services will be Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998, at 2 p.m. in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, with the Rev. Lon Killingsworth officiating. Inurnment will follow.
