About	Michael Raymond Follis, 52, Springfield Mo., departed this world Sunday, May 10, 1998, in Cox Medical Center South after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Michael was born Dec. 30, 1946, in Springfield, to Raymond Harvey Follis and Wanda Pearl Riggs Follis. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1964, and Drury College in 1976. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He worked for Precision Industries. He had a love for fishing and spending time with his family , and going to Hardees on Saturday or Sunday morning and having a cup of coffee with friends. He is survived by his parents, Raymond and Wanda, Springfield; his loving wife of 27 years, Karyn Diane Kelley Follis; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Sean Follis and Shari, St. Louis, Mo., and Shane Joseph Follis, Springfield; a grandson, Trevor Michael Follis, St. Louis; a sister and her husband, Judy and Henry Lohman, Springfield; his mother-in-law, Helen Kelley, Houma, La.; three brothers-in-law, Richard and Janie Kelley, Bosier City, La., and Glen Kelley, and Tim and Terri Kelley, all of Houma, La.; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Lohman, Bakersfield, Calif., Matthew Lohman, Springfield, Mo., and Brandon Bligh, and Dylan Kelley, both of Houma, La.; two close family friends, Melanie Knox and Rebecca; and a host of other family and friends. Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 1998 in Klinger Mortuary chapel. The body will be cremated with private burial at a later date. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. [Spfd News Leader dated 12 May 1998; SSDI]
