George Herbert Oheim, 95, Springfield, Mo. died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998 after a short illness. Mr. Oheim was born November 23, 1902, in Kinsley, Kan., He taught Industrial Arts in Springfield Public Schools for 43 years, retiring in 1968. He was a longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Thelma J. Oheim. Also surviving are Herb and Thelmaâ%uFFFD%uFFFDs three children, Wanda L. Morris, Rockford, Ill., Charles H. Oheim, Springfield, Mo., and Robert W. Oheim, Gurnee, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, in Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ron Lavole officiating under direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2441 S.
