Mrs. Sheryl Ann "Sheri" Witherspoon Fox, 27, of 2837 W. Elm, was pronounced death on arrival at Cox Medical Center after she was found in her home about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, police reported. Dr. Erwin Busiek, Greene County medical examiner, said investigation indicated that death may have been caused by an unintentional overdose of medicine and possibly drugs. Mrs. Fox suffered from severe headaches, according to Dr. Busiek. Survivors include a son, Joshua; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Witherspoon; a sister, Susan Witherspoon; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. John Witherspoon; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Joplin, all of Springfield. Greenlawn Funeral Home North will announce arrangements. [Spfd News Leader dated: March 27, 1978]
