About	Subjects taught: Home Ec. I, II & III, Family Living, Home Decorating, F.H.A. Mrs. Lindell E. Chastain, 62, of 1526 S. Kansas, died at 9 a.m. today in St. John's Regional Health Center after a brief illness. Mrs. Chastain was a retired school teacher and had lived in Springfield about 40 years. She had taught at Hillcrest High School until her retirement about two years ago. She was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association, the National Retired Teachers Association, the Springfield, Education Association, The American and Missouri vocational associations, and the Home Economics in Homemaking association, the American and Missouri Home Economics Association, and the Broadway United Methodist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Linda Sporleder, Grinnell, Iowa; one brother, Ernest Eaton, 1631 E. 8th North; one sister, Gladys Eaton, 1451 E. Woodland; and two grandchildren. Kansas, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Broadway Methodist Church with the Revs. Harold E. Gold and Robert Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf-Abbott. Mrs. Chastain died at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. John�s Regional Health Center afater a brief illness.
