About	Twyla Colleen (Myers) Everett, 55, was born February 24, 1952, in Springfield, to Roy and Zena Mae (Chapman) Myers. She passed away June 21, 2007, in her home after a courageous battle with liver cancer. She was a 1970 graduate of Hillcrest High School and attended SMSU. She married John D. Everett in June 1973, and they had one son, Dennis. She worked in SMSU for 25 years in both the Records and Military Science Departments and retired in May of 2006. Twyla also worked part-time at Cichlids & Salt, the business she and John own. In addition to her husband, John, and son, Dennis, Tywla is also survived by her grandson, Tyler Everett; her daugher-in-law, Ashley Everett; two step-grandchildren, Aiden and Lilly; a sister, Phyllis Gleghorn and husband, Bob; a niece, Allison Coltharp and husband, Joel; and many other relatives and friends. Twyla loved being with her family and also her church family, having joined New Hope Primitive Baptist Church when she was 13 years old. She spent as much time as possible outdoors, planting flowers and working her lily pond. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
