About	Chris Lee Eagleburger, 56, Branson West, passed on in St. John's Hospital on Thursday, January 17, 2008, after a short, but hard fought battle with cancer. His strength and determination continue to bless us all. Chris was born June 28, 1951, to Raymond and Helen (Gafner) Eagleburger, who survive him. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1969, started his family and career as a Springfield Firefighter, retiring after 25 years service. In 1982, he became a mason of the Gate of the Temple Lodge #422 and joined the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple. He served as Yaban President, Chief Aid for two past Potentates, charter member of BATS, member of Christian County Cook Crew and past President of Rice Camp, his home and community of friends. He was a liver transplant survivor who was so proud and protective of his new life. Through this and his active membership in AA he had beat the odds and made everything right. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tracy Lee in 1970. Surviving him are his loving and caring children, Stacy and husband, Ron Richardson and children, Gavin and Ethan, Kent and wife, Sharon Eagleburger and son, Mason, all of whom he was so proud; his sister Pam and husband, Steve Burney, and their children, Luke, Beth, and husband Shawn Doles; and brother Brad and wife Debbie Eagleburger. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, beginning with a visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. and Masonic services to immediately follow in Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield, Mo. Memorials in his name can be made to Rice Camp Park Fund or to a charity of choice and left in care of the funeral home. [Source: Spfd News Leader dated: January 20, 2008 ]
