About	Donald Dean Hicks, 59, Springfield, Mo., passed away on June 15, 2007, in his home of cancer. He was a graduate of Hillcrest High School. Mr. Hicks worked at Zenith Electronics for 27 years then for the Public Works Department for the City of Springfield. Mr. Hicks was of the Baptist faith and a member of Blue Lodge United #5 and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Joplin. Donald was proud of his various awards including "Twinkle Toes", honorary clown of Abou Ben Adhem Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Stella Hicks; and a brother, Jack Pryor. Donald married his loving wife, Deloris Robertson on April 18, 1980. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his loving daughters, Donale Allen and husband, Jerry, and Ronda Hicks and special friend, Jeff Engle; step-children, Danny Cummings and wife, Gwen and Rebecca Lugena and husband, Brent; grandchildren, Kourtney Stevens, Sophia Stevens, Justin Essick, Christina Kensinger, Molly Lugena, Ambra Cummings and Dalton Cummings; great-grandchildren, Audra Kinsinger and Hunter Essick; sister Eva Akin and husband, Ted; and two nieces, Terry and Tammy. Graveside services, officiated by Rev. Gary Robertson will be held in Highlandville Cemetery on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held Monday, June 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, with Masonic services beginning at 7 p.m. The family requests that contributions in Mr. Hick's memory be made to the Childrens Miracle Network, 3525 S.
