About	Michael Taylor, 63, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007. He was born December 19, 1943, in Fayetteville, Ark. Mike graduated from Hillcrest High School, Springfield, Mo., in 1962, and was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard. He was self-employed, having owned and operated Briarwood One Stop, which he retired from in 2003. Mike was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He volunteered for the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Ridgecrest missions and The Hiding Place Thrift Store. He was known for his love of travel and playing on his old tractor. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Taylor and Beulah Mae (Gray) Taylor; and son Kevin Ray Taylor. Surviving are son Kirk Anthony Taylor; granddaughter Maranda Jewell Taylor; brother Mitchell Taylor and wife, Joyce; sisters and their spouses, Iris Darlene and Joe Kissner, Lola Madaline and J.E. Talbert, Geraldine Heim, Martha Joan Hickman, Marjorie Ann Langston, Linda Lea and Mikey Williamson; and a host of nieces and nephews, close friends and business associates. Funeral services for Michael Taylor will be held 1 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2007, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening in the funeral home.
