About James Burl Durbin, age 64, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008. He was born May 4, 1943, in Springfield, the son of Joseph and Gladys (Fisher)Durbin, who precede him in death. He married Patricia Green May 4, 1967, who survives him along with daughter Cora Durbin Scott and son-in-law Jeff Scott; granddaughter Sophia Scott; brothers Mickey Durbin (Becky); Dion Durbin; and Donnie Durbin (Dyann); and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and countless friends. He is also preceded in death by brother J.C. Durbin and sister Patsy Durbin Wright. Jimmie graduated Hillcrest in 1961 and served in the U.S. Navy for four years, where he was a parachute rigger. Family was his life and he liked nothing better than sitting on Nanny Durbin's porch, spinning tales with the family and laughing with the kids.
