About Me	Attended college, service in the US Navy from 1964-70, teaching band at Kirby Middle School, Johnson City ISD, Alamo Heights HS, Roosevelt HS, attended Southwest Texas State for my masters, did my doctorate at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, taught trombone at the University of Texas at San Antonio, University of North Carolina, and Ithaca College, and along the way played trombone in various jazz groups, toured with Johnny Carson, played in several symphony orchestras and soloed with many professional bands and orchestras, including the Greensboro Symphony, the United States Navy Band, the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, ...(read more)
