| About Me | I took some accounting courses and worked as an auditor for several agencies of the State of Minnesota. After a few years of that I got bored and pursued my old interest in nursing and worked as an R,N, at St. Joseph's Hospital for 27 years, mostly on a cardiac unit. Eventually, hospital nursing wore me out, but I figured I had one more career left in me. I retired from hospital nursing in 2010 and studied for an Associate Degree in Health Information at Saint Paul College where I was one of the students featured on the cover of the college magazine for writing a winning essay on "Why I Love Saint Paul College." I started a new career back at St. Joe's in a new department and work with the medical records and the physicians as a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist. The learning curve approximates Mount Everest, but I love the job and have a wonderfully supportive supervisor. After 28 years of generating the information, now I am working with it.
