Always a big guy, Karl passed away from complications of diabetes. His friends and family miss him dearly.

From age twelve on, Karl was my best friend. We had a lot of adventures together, including being VIP guests of NASA for the launch of Apollo 17 in December of 1972. We later had dinner with the Apollo 17 astronauts. We were both members of The Utah Space Association.
