| About Me | Our family moved to Livermore, Calif. after H.S. graduation, and I attended Westmont College in Santa Barabara where I graduated with B. A. in Social Science. Then I attended U. C. Berkeley where I received a Masters in Library Science, and worked for 2 yrs. as a children's librarian. When I married Bob Funk in 1966, I went back to school at San Jose State and received my elementary teaching credential. We moved from Fremont, CA to Bakersfield CA where my husband bagan teaching for Bakersfield College and I began teaching kindergarten. With the birth of our 1st son in 1973, II stayed home. Our 2nd son was born in 1977. In 1989, I went back to teaching. I taught 5th grade for 2 yrs., and then moved to a middle school where I worked as the library media teacher.
