About	Sage was accepted to the University of New Mexico in September 2014. She was on track to graduate May 2015. It's been a year as of October 13, 2015, and her impact on the community is still very evident. Sage was born with a rare severe case of asthma, and suffered a fatal asthma attack during Fall Break 2014. She passed away on the afternoon of October 13, 2014. Sage was a member of the Highland High School softball team. She was also a studious, highly motivated student, and aspired to become a surgeon upon graduating from the University of New Mexico. She was enrolled in off-campus classes at the Career Enrichment Center, including Pre-Med.
