Alan G. Whicher
Class of 1972
Alan Whicher was a proud graduate of High Point High School. He went on to Maryland University and graduated summa cum laude. He joined the US Secret Service in 1973 and became one on the youngest agents to be accepted into the Secret Service. He served under four presidents and was transfered to the Oklahoma City field office in 1994. He was killed in the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. President Clinton, who knew him well, attented his funeral in Rockville, MD....and President Clinton also later honored him by placing flowers on his chair at the memorial.
