He died on June 18th, 1969 in Kontum Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Rocket/Mortar. Michael's decorations are the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart. the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation. He died on 18 June 1969. He was 21 years old.
