Hello 69ers !!!!!

Can you believe it !!! 50 years since we left the hallowed hall of HHS....... HOLY #@*& !!!!! or in 21st century jargon ...WTF !!!!
How did 50 years pass so quickly???

MARK THE DATES ...... Here is a quick summary of the main activities. More specific info will follow ....

SEPTEMBER 13

- Friday Golf for those interested.

-An informal Friday evening get together is planned at the SALT Block’s Keiser Community Room... that is .... the Library in the “new building” at our dear old Hickory High !!!!
An official tour of the building will be conducted by a SALT Block staffer on Saturday for all those who are interested in seeing what Ms. Smyre’s room looks like today.

September 14

-The venue for the Saturday night celebration will be Mortez Mill. For those of you who may not know, Mortez Mill is an historic restored textile mill in SE Hickory....
Click on http://moretzmills.com/ to check it out. It is a really cool place!

Again, this is the FIRST notice...Other activities, cost etc. will be passed on at a later date.

I am sure there have been some changes in email addresses in the past 5 years so please share this with every 69er you keep in touch with these days and let me know of changes. Also, notify Sharon Danner Turner (turnerray@charter.net) or me if anyone wishes to help on the committee , we will let you know when the next meeting is planned.

And to EVERYONE ....”WE WILL SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER” .... !!!!!! All those Summer Loves have long passed :-)

Peace, Love and Blessings to All ....Art

Reunion Apparel

The class of 1969 experienced history on a regular basis: The Summer of Love, the Tet Offensive, Nixon's rise to power, The Beatles' creative peak... very few spans of time can claim to have shaped American culture as much as the late 60's, and you & your Hickory High School classmates experienced it together.

Now as you and your fellow Red Tornadoes prepare to enjoy retirement it's the perfect time to reunite and share where life has brought you in the last five decades. Your reunion is scheduled and AlumniClass is your spot for arranging travel plans, ordering custom Red Tornadoes merchandise to show off your school spirit, and connect with classmates ahead of time.
