Unfortunately, we did not reach 32 paid attendees for Saturday, and given all the reminding and cajoling so far, I don't know how many more will sign up in the next few weeks. Therefore, I have moved our event to a private event space at Open Road in the Reston Town Centre, which is a more affordable venue for a smaller group. There will still be a nice selection of dishes served, but there will be no DJ nor an open bar.
The per person cost will be lower, probably less than $60. Once I am able to calculate that, I will post the information here and refund the difference to each person who has already paid.

Ticket sales for the reunion and happy hour continue to be dismal. I need 64 paid attendees for Saturday to break even. If not enough people are going to attend, then I need to cancel at least a month in advance to recoup most of the deposits. Therefore, if I don’t have at least 32 paid attendees by September 4, I’m going to have to pull the plug on the Saturday event.
The Friday happy hour is more flexible, but I would like to have 20 paid attendees by the 4th for that event.
If you are planning to come, and haven’t sent payment yet, please do so ASAP, or there may not be an event, at least on Saturday.
If Venmo is a problem for you, message me directly and we will work something out.
If cost is an issue, I remind you that I requested input at every decision point and provided information on how each option would affect ticket costs. In every case, the majority chose the most expensive option.

I realize it's still several weeks before the deadline, but if you are planning to come to either the Friday or the Saturday event, please send your $$.
When I took the early interest poll, more than 80 people indicated they would attend the Saturday reunion. We usually have 50 or so show up for the Friday happy hour. So far, there are many less than that who have indicated they are coming to either event, and only 7 have paid for Saturday and 5 for Friday so far.
We have already put some of our own cash toward up-front costs, not to mention the time invested in making the arrangements and communicating with everyone. I'd like to break even, and I'd like it even more if a lot of you signed up to have a great weekend.
