FRANCIS, Leslie Anne (Singer) longtime resident of Saginaw, Michigan passed away
peacefully on February 26th after a lengthy battle with ALS. Age 59 years. Leslie
Singer was born on June 14, 1961 in Danville, Illinois to the late Sally (Rhodes) and
Richard “Dick” Singer III. Leslie was a graduate of Eisenhower High School in 1980.
Immediately after graduation she joined the United States Army as a Military Police
o????cer and served at West Point for three years. Leslie continued her military
service as a Sta???? Sergeant in the Army Reserves and served in Operation Desert
Storm. Leslie furthered her education at Indiana University in Indianapolis
graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Leslie worked in the ????eld of
business accounting in the Indianapolis and Saginaw communities. She was a
voracious reader her entire life and enjoyed writing and bird watching. Leslie was
also a member of the Baha’i Faith. She was a kind and loving daughter, sister, aunt
and friend. Leslie was loved by those who knew her and displayed tremendous
independence, courage and determination during her years of illness.
