About	Susan Elizabeth Bell, 76, of Houston, Texas passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2022. Susan was born on March 31, 1946, in Medford, Oregon to Ken and Betty Steele. She was raised along with her sister Shirley in several cities throughout California. In 1960, Susan attended San Diego State and then graduated from San Jose State with a degree in Education. She taught elementary school for several years in the Cupertino School District before becoming a full time mom. In 1974, Susan was happily married to Lee Bell who was her partner in life for almost 48 years. They were blessed with three children: Scott, Jonathan, and Matthew. Susan adored her roles as mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and aunt and stayed close to all her children, grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She had a passion for skiing, tennis, bridge, and caring for the family's many pets. Susan particularly liked traveling and went on many domestic and international trips with Lee, even living for three years in the UK that were precious to her. She made friends easily with her smile and infectious laughter. Even if she hadn’t seen them in years, her joy at reencountering old friends was obvious. Susan is survived by her husband Lee; her three boys: Scott, Jonathan, and Matthew; her four grandchildren: Oscar, Hector, Roland, and Ada; and many other friends and family. Susan was a beautiful person, both on the inside and the outside. All who knew her are greatly saddened by her loss.
