Class of 1946

My first marriage was to a darling sailor named Cliff Hicks, in 1946. We had a daughter in 1950. I worked as a legal secetary t0 help get Cliff through State College; met a man who seemed more exciting; stupidly divorced Cliff and married Mr. Excitement.
Bitterly regretted this ever since; after six more children (whom I don't of course regret) and 18 years of misery, finally found myself in a position to leave this abusive man. During the time of that marriage, though, I had several stories published by Alfred Hitchcock's Magazine, and also a teen-age mystery novel. After the happy occasion of the second divorce, I went to work for several newspapers, took up tennis and had a very happy middle years' period. I am now retired, living in a senion citizens' apartment in downtown San Diego. My kids are all successful, supportive and loving and I am having a great time doing a lot of creative loafing. You can (and I wish you would) reach me at: rooney1928@gmail.com. Would love to hear your stories and what you have learned from life!
