Mitch was born in Corning, CA to proud parents Robert and Donna (Purvis) Trier on August 21, 1962. He is survived by his parents, grandmother, Fern Trierweiler, brothers Steve Trier, Joe (Lisa) Trier and sister Kathy (Mike) Walker. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eloy Trierweiler, Welthy and Lela Purvis and brother David Trier.

Mitch loved spending time with his treasured children, Tom Krieger, Jackie (Andy) Boyd, Jim Krieger, Mary (Kyle) Trier-Corcoran and Daniel Trier and his cherished grandchildren Lilly, Michael, and Greg Boyd.

Mitch grew up in Saint Paul, MN, attended the University of Minnesota and earned a Bachelor in Science from Northern Illinois University with a concentration in Finance and Economics leading to a successful thirty-year career as a Commercial Lender. He lived in Aurora, IL and Lisle, IL with his wife, Susan (Burdi) Trier and daughters. After divorcing, Mitch called Downers Grove, IL home for the next twenty years, residing with his wife, Jenifer (Sargeant) Trier and children. A self-proclaimed intellectual “nerd”, Mitch enjoyed researching family genealogy and protecting historical family photos for future generations to appreciate. He took pride in volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America while his youngest son was a scout and enjoyed watching Star Trek and superhero movies. Mitch was a member of the Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Trinity Lutheran Church and Bible Devotional Group, the Lisle Chamber of Commerce and a Certified Illinois Notary.

Mitch is survived by his children and many nieces & nephews.
