Patty was my sister. She passed away from a rare form of metastatic breast cancer called Heur-2-Neu on April 20 of 1995. She was only 40 years old. She had been fighting this cancer since the age of 31, having contracted it barely a year after she lost her only son to SIDS. Despite that, she continued to work as an excellent nurse and also continued to race, winning regional championships in SCCA sports car racing, driving her D production Yenko Stinger (modified 1965 Chevrolet Corvair).

Patty was only about 33 when she died. She died of breast cancer after having lost her only baby 6 months earlier to Sid’s. This left her husband alone . She was an RN
