Chief Warrant Officer Five (CW5) Curtis Phipps has been a Helicopter Pilot for the U.S. Army for over 23 years. He is being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) by General Patreaus. Awards and Decorations include the Army Aviator of the year for 2003, 2 Distinguished Flying Crosses (DFC), a Bronze Star, of the 17 Air Medals, two are for Valor.
