About Me	Jonathan "Sennarith" Nhean was born in Battambang, Cambodia. After the Khmer Rouge took over the country in 1975, he was separated from his family and forced into different labor camps when he was only 11 years old. That’s how a life could change in an instant for the worse. While living under the Khmer Rouge regime, he witnessed things that still couldn’t be talked about to these days. He recalled cheating death at least three times during the Khmer Rouge reign of terror, but his father and several of his siblings weren’t as lucky. When Vietnam overthrew the Khmer Rouge in 1979, Jonathan was able to be reunited with his mother and a brother. He then fled to the Khao I Dang Refugee Camp in Thailand.
