Reggie Dunbar II '72 said:
Shirley was my sister and a bright, cheerful and gifted person.
She was a giver in that professionally she worked in the medical field all of her work life.
She also gave to her personal family and her grandkids.
Her two daughters and one son and grandchildren were her life.
As a child I held her in my arms.
Before Shirley was born I remember going to the hospital when she came home and our brother Louis being child jealous and was threatened by her coming into our home. She was the new baby and Louis was not happy about giving up his position.
Sweet memories of Shirley are in my head, heart and mind to this day.
