Events	Alvan T. Majors, the son of Thelma Majors of West Chester, Pa and Herbert Thompson of Jamaica, was born in West Chester, Pa. He was a dedicated public servant, proud veteran, and beloved husband. Throughout his life, Alvan exemplified service, commitment, and leadership, both to his country and to the many communities he touched. Over the course of four decades, he built an extraordinary 44 year career in government service, continually sharpening his expertise and leadership. Above all his accomplishments, Alvan will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his integrity, and his unwavering work ethic. His presence, guidance, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Alvan loved spending time and training his German Shepherds. He also loved the Philadelphia Eagles, fast cars and volunteering helping veterans.
