About	Leon was born in Chester on Oct. 5, 1951, the son of the late Louis A. and Barbara (Johnson) Benson. He was the husband of Jill R. (Reade) Benson, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage. Leon was a self-employed truck driver for 40 years. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and the F. & A. M. Howell Lodge # 405 of Honey Brook. Leon was preceded in death by his son, Leon D. Benson, Jr. He is survived in addition to his wife, by a daughter, Ashley C. (Glenn) Pike of Narvon, two brothers, Louis A. Benson, Jr. of Texas and Robert C. (Diane) Benson of West Chester. There are also two grandchildren, Adria Benson and Lennie Benson, Jr.
