Mike was a 1969 graduate of Henderson High School where he represented his school at the Penn Relays. Michael then received a Bachelor of Education Degree from Campbell Univ. Michael was one of the all-time great soccer players at Campbell in the 1970s. He was 4 time NAIA All-District 29 player, 1st Team All-South, 1st Team NAIA All-American, and all decade team in the 1970s. Michael was drafted by the Queen’s Park Rangers in London, England, however, his mother had other plans for her son as a teacher. Michael taught physical education at Embreeville State Hospital for more than 30 years. He then became a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the blind in Phila. He enjoyed driving his 1977 MGB and watching sports.
