Tech Sgt., Flying Crew Chief. AP&E certified. 3 yrs. in Viet Nam . Have seen most of the Pacific. Assigned to Air Defense Command, Pacific Air Force, Military Airlift Command. OJT instructor and also First Aid instructor. Decorated for saving a fellow airman's life.

Spent 9 months on Submarine Rescue Vessel out of Pearl Harbor Hawaii, 3 yrs in a Torpedo shop in Pearl Harbor, two years on a Coastal Minesweeper in Long Beach California, then 2 yrs on a Geodetic Research Vessel which was a sister ship to the USS Pueblo which was being converted from a light cargo vessel in Bremerton Washington. Went through the Panama Canal transiting to the East coast Spent 2 weeks in Guantanamo Cuba Having repairs. Went on to home port in Little Creek Virginia. Spent 5 months in the North Atlantic. Visited Holy lock Scotland, Ireland, Trondheim, Harstad and Stavanger Norway and the Azore islands. Returned to Little Creek on October 17 1968 as my third son was being born at March Air Force bas in California. Was discharged on Friday the 13th in 1968. moved to Bremerton Washington and went to work at Puget soun Naval Shipyard for 27 years.

Was in the Army and Army National Guard. Started out Artillery (13B), Supply, Battalion Operations NCO and ended up in recruiting for 18 1/2 years. Retired as Sergeant Major, October 2007. 2 of my sons followed me in uniform. Couldn't be prouder of all my kids.
