About	Audrey Hancock-Fernandez was born July 8, 1926, in San Francisco, Ca. Her parents were Charles Hancock and Irma Custer-Hancock. She was raised in in San Francisco until her family moved to the Hayward Highlands and lived on Hayward Blvd where her grandparents owned a home. She attended Highland School along with her siblings younger sisters Patricia Hancock-Katz and Carol Hancock-Johansen and younger brother Robin Hancock. Audrey attended Hayward High School and graduated in 1945. She married Louie Fernandez who also attended Hayward High School (1942) and owned an apricot ranch on Mission Blvd. Hayward. Louie and Audrey had 2 daughters, Joan Fernandez-Fallavena and Nancy Fernandez-Fowler who also attended Hayward High School and graduated in 1963 & 1966. Audrey was very active with her friends and square dancing clubs. They traveled from place to place dancing along the way. Audrey loved everything about life. She loved to read, sew her own dresses for dancing, cook and garden. She had fond memories of her younger days in Hayward and loved San Francisco. Audrey Hancock-Fernandez passed away very peacefully September 16, 2015. She was loved and appreciated very much by her family and friends. We miss her.
