I went to Hawthorne from 1950 thru 1957 in two shifts , difficult to explain ...
My first cottage was 11 the cottage mom & pop were the Marks, and the dog Tippy.
I would like to nominate Mr. Ralph Marcus, he was always there for us mostly on the weekends.
But their were so many more people like, Evelyn Meltzer who at that time was in charge of the DH and Nathan the head cook who was really great to me but look I can go on and I have such a vivid memory my times in Hawthorne...
I live in Chester NY and I hopfully will visit Hawthorne this spring or summer .
