Walter served his country in the United States Air Force and later volunteered as a first responder for the Hatboro Ambulance Company. He was an avid boater and spent many years cruising the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay.
Walter was employed as a realtor and later as an Insurance Agent for Prudential. He was also an entrepreneur building his own answering machine sales and telecommunications company.
