Hi Floy, So sorry to read about Gary's passing. Our "little neighborhood" was basically all boys, other than two girls that were not "outdoor types". We played basketball, softball, tag, dodgeball, hide-N-seek, capture the flag, bad mitten, and many others. Everyone else was usually a year or more older, and much bigger than I was. My mother let me go outdoors to play with one condition, "you come in crying, and you stay inside!" So I got to be pretty tough - and never had to stay inside. There was a big hill with a pond at the bottom, and a beautiful woods on the top. The trees were huge and great for us to climb. The pond was full of interesting treasures, biggest problem was always the treasures that I forgot to take out of my jeans pocket. I'd hear a "scream" in our basement and I knew that I had forgotten to take a snake skin out of my pockets. None of us had much, but for the most part, our neighborhood kids turned out pretty good. We knew how to make something good out of nothing. We learned how to be GOOD NEIGHBORS, and GOOD CITIZENS. I was just "one of the boys", but that helped me in later years. Most of the Real Estate Brokers were men in those years. That didn't bother me, JUST ONE OF THE BOYS, was my background. Thank you Gary for your part. It's very obvious that Gary also learned about helping others. If someone needed "help" -- we would be there. Sounds like he also carried that on through the rest of his life. Again, it's too late to say "Thank you", but I'm sure that all of the kids in our "little neighborhood" would like to add their names to this. Hopefully Gary is reading this as well. A Sincerely, Sheila (Cookie) Frisbie-Sensor
P/S A very close friend sent this message to me many years ago, so I'm sending it to you. REMEMBER the SUNNY Hours, FORGET the RAINY DAYS.
