Robert W. (Bob) Crampton, 79 of Allouez, Mi, passed away on December 16, 2021, at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born on July 13, 1942 in East Lansing, Mi.
He moved to the UP of Michigan in 1978, to further pursue his life’s calling of being a surveyor, at UP Engineering. He went on to open Crampton Surveying and spent the rest of his 50+ year profession doing what he loved. When he moved to the UP, he came with his wife of 42 years, Patricia (Patti) Crampton, and they spent the rest of their years enjoying the Keweenaw Peninsula, operating the Eagle Harbor General Store, golfing, camping, fishing, refurbishing his 1946 Ford pick up and spending time with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, William & Marvelene (Molly) Crampton, son Robert Crampton, sister Linda Fennis and brother Rick Crampton. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Patti) Crampton, son David Crampton, daughter Tricia Crampton/Tony Spagnotti, daughter Jamie (Jim) Dube, sister Kathy Sedell, brother Dan Crampton, grandchildren Candice (Adam) Miles, Christopher (Phaedra) LaBonte, Timery (Sean) Minch, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
