About	Shirley passed away peacefully in her home, in Sequim Washington, after a two year struggle with cancer, with her dear husband and best friend, at her bedside, Brennan Jones, plus their two beloved cats near by. Her sisters Leslie Ross, class of 67, and Susan Ross, class of 70, .had been near as well, during her final months , in her cozy home , with sustaining views of her mountains, The Olympics. RIP
Events	Shirley and I were best friends from high school thru the end of her vibrant life. We kept in close touch, room mates in Eugene, for many years, where together we had moved, after high school. Shirley came to visit me in the San Juan Islands many times where I lived for ten recent years. Thru it all Shirley was a positive light, a sun and fun loving gal, a best friend in so many ways, as we shared our life journey together, thru all the usual losses and joys of a life well lived….I miss our reminiscing and the sharing our 60’s fav music, (one of hers: In-A-Gadda Da-Vida, Iron Butterfly) marveling about concerts, and, I simply miss her presence so much….I am so glad she had her good man Brennan in her life for her last 20 plus years…..Cathy Ellis, Eugene, Oregon, class of 67
